early spring vs late spring

Round 2 Charleston redfishing

On their return trip the redfish treated them right. When we first met in the early spring the tide was rising and the wind was was out of the SW at 20, the conditions were tough to say the least. We worked hard and got a few.  Second go around, just the opposite.  Perfect, the tide was falling and wind light and variable, the bite was on.

  1. Severe heat (100 +) did not ruin our fishing trip. We caught redfish until we had to start throwing them back because we had so many in the livewell. Capt Legare worked all morning to keep our fishing experience fun for all. Plenty of bait, great rods and reels, comfortable boat. Ended a great day keeping seven redfish and one flounder. Already planning our next trip.
